LVRS is an all-volunteer organization and is always looking to
expand its membership. LVRS members are trained as Emergency
Medical Technicians (EMTs) and Emergency Care Attendants (ECAs).
Members undergo extensive initial and ongoing training. If
you have previous medical training and have a current State of VT
certification as an EMT, ECA or First Responder, please contact LVRS president,
Pete Cobb at (802) 824-5037 for information on joining LVRS.
If you are interested in learning about training opportunities in
the area, please contact Pete Cobb or visit the State
of VT EMS home page for information on courses being offered
in the area.
In addition to our need for
medical personnel, LVRS is always looking for new members for the
LVRS Rescue Department. |

The Rescue Department is the branch
of LVRS responsible for activities such as vehicle extrication,
water rescue, back-country rescue and low-angle rope
rescue. While the Rescue Department is comprised largely of
LVRS personnel, it also includes a number of members who are
involved in local Fire Companies and can offer expertise in our
rescue activities. Some of our Rescue Department members
also serve as ambulance drivers as needed.
